Dear fellow Legionnaires,  Auxiliary and SAL Members:

From: George VanDeWater,  Area 2 Commander

I was just approached by the folks here to see if we knew of a veteran in Utah County who might need some work done on or around his/her home. The Day-of-Caring is an annual event which is supported by many Utah County businesses and there is a great turn-out.  A project like this will usually have 20-30 volunteers working on it.  The make-up of the group will depend upon the work that is needed and more often than not materials are donated.

As Area 2 Commander I would whole heartedly support this type of effort and believe many of the Post in District 4 would also participate.

The Day of Ca0ring will be on September 8th, with a breakfast at 7:00 am (BYU Stadium), Flag Presentation (8:15 am) by Post 72 followed by work projects the rest of the day.

If anyone is aware of Utah county Veteran or the family of a veteran currently serving in the Gulf that could use some help please contact me at the number below.

    George
